Stories for a Autism documententary (15/9/14)

I'm writing to you from an independent television production company based in Dublin. We have been commissioned by RTE to research and develop an idea we submitted to them on the subject of autism. Our pitch to them was to explore
the world of autism through the experiences of a number of children and young adults and their families in an attempt to see the world from their perspective. We would also like to address various issues relating to this
spectrum via experts in their field.

We feel there hasn't been much Irish television devoted to this subject so we'd like to change this. I have an added interest because I trained and worked as a Special Ed. Montessori teacher years ago and I also have a special needs nephew who displays some autistic characteristics.

I also love to make documentaries that are human interest driven and most especially related to young people.  We produced an award winning documentary series in 2013 called "Bullyproof" where we explored this awful issue through
the experiences of four young people and their families. We have also made a number of series with Clinical Psychologist David Coleman on families and teens experiencing difficulties and who benefited by some time apart and one
to one sessions. Last year we produced a series based on the work of Ireland's first Clinical Teenage Midwife Specialist based in Drogheda called "The Teens' Midwife".

Should any parents, teachers or individuals be interested in speaking with me, I would be delighted to hear from them.

Best & many thanks.
