How do you solve a problem? - Like Maria! [AngloCelt, May 2009]

    Photo: Copyright AngloCelt.
Story: By Sinead Horgan, Anglo Celt, 27/May/2009.

How do you solve a problem? - Like Maria!

Whether it comes from the heart, the soul or somewhere even more mystical than that, Maria Greenan’s piano-playing and singing is positively goose-bump inducing. The 20-year-old music student from Cootehill wowed the crowds at Cavan’s Got Talent with performances of songs ranging from Hot Stuff to Tears From Heaven and Billie Jean - scooping the first prize of €7,000 which she plans to put towards her education.

Concerned parents call for autism support (Bright Starts, Kingscourt)

    Anglo Celt, 19th November 2008

Bright Stars autism support group are making an urgent plea for families affected by autism to get in touch with them, so that they can rally support for their ongoing efforts for a special school for children with autism to be set up in this region.

The Kingscourt-based group currently has five members but they believe there are many more people who would benefit from the Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) tutoring that they are seeking to have made available in the Cavan area.
