I’m a superhero. By day I parent two little boys with Autism, by night (and weekends) I don an evening gown, grab a radio mic and perform soul music in front of crowds of people. I’m lucky to have such a release, but so many autistic families aren't.
...I’m every kind of excited to announce that our Charity this year is the Autism Family Support Group, Donegal. This organization helps families by providing seminars, summer programs, and family support as well as creating Autism Awareness.
I understand the difficulties involved with nurturing these amazing children. It’s an honor to parent my children, but without the support from organizations like the Autism Family Support Group I would fall apart on a regular basis.
Additionally, the Letterkenny Educate Together National School provides mainstream education to special needs children. This dynamic and unique school is helping us put on the show. A portion of the proceeds and album sales will go to the LETNS so they can continue the fantastic work that they do.
THE CONCERT
The night is going to be amazing. There are special musical guests as well as our full band complete with brass section. We are going to commit deliberate acts of Soul, Blues, Jazz, and Funk all over the Abbey Centre.
