Behavioural Science

Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention (EIBI), Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) are approaches based on science of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA). Verbal Behaviour (VB) approach is similar approach. Discrete Trials (DT) is a intervention that is used with young ASD children. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a scienctific discipline that is often used with older ASD children and challenging behaviour.

EFFORTS to open a special school in Mayo for children with autism could make significant progress next month. Mayo Autism Action has renovated a building which it rents from the IRD in Kiltimagh. Everything has been ready since January and the group is now hoping that an American expert in autism eduction might take up management of the new school in May.

"ConnecticuT Families for Effective Autism Treatment" (CT FEAT) is a non-profit organization formed by parents and family members to provide information and support to the families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
